Ginko Leaves Silhouette

A branch of Ginko Biloba leaves in silhoette on the roof of a tent at the Farmers Market.
The Ginko Biloba tree is also known as a ‘living fossil and it is the sole survivor of an ancient group of trees that outlived the dinosaurs. The oldest recorded Ginkgo on record is whopping 3,500 years old!
The Latin species name ‘biloba’ comes from the shape of the distinct leaves, meaning ‘two lobes.
